Iliana Malíhin is one of the brightest stars in the Greek wine firmament, crafting old-vine wines that crackle with energy and tension. This bold, silky liatiko is as good as rosé gets. It gives and gives. Water melon syrup, blood orange, dried rose petals, cherry lips, cherry syrup, pear syrup, campari. Sweet and silky on the palate, almost viscous, with a bit of grippy tannin and a soft mineral undertow suggesting old vines and concentrated, low-yield fruit. Brilliant – and not just for summer.
