Imagine village Burgundy with a smoky, volcanic edge. This is Suertes’s ‘village’ wine from the Oratava Valley of northern Tenerife, made from listán negro and tintilla. It spends nine months in concrete and neutral oak, and is fresh and peppery with round, supple tannins and a volcanic mineral backbone. Great value.
