Tony Bornard is the son of Jura winemaking luminary Philippe Bornard and took over his father's vineyards in 2017. Based in the village of Pupillin – famous for its pale red wines made from poulsard – Tony continues to make wine in his father's spirit. L'Aide Mémoire is a pinot noir from vines planted in the 1950s on grey marl. It's aged in old Burgundian barrels for 24 months, and bottled unfined and unfiltered, with no sulphur dioxide added. It's alive, slightly wild and energetic. Savoury with tart berry fruit and and iron-y minerality.
